Added a versioned source baseline and handoff notes with an integrity checksum, while preserving earlier versions. Syntax compilation passed; the app was not executed and target-platform behavior remains unverified.
Small changes, kept together.
A compact ledger of approved application work.

The v3 startup refresh now reuses one parsed project collection while it refreshes generated project pages, avoiding a full journal scan for each project. A focused regression check confirms the collection is read once, and the deterministic build validates the generated Scriptable script. No measured speedup is claimed; device performance checks remain pending. v3 is now the active Pocketlog development fork, with the v2 series retained as history.
The historical note pane now starts collapsed, can be shown or hidden with a checkbox, and opens when a source date is loaded. Python compilation and a focused headless state check passed; Windows and interactive desktop validation were unavailable.
A queue test now supplies the same due time used to claim its scheduled run, avoiding dependence on the wall clock during the assertion.
A new helper searches message headers and fetches a body only after one message is selected. Automated tests cover message selection, bounded text handling, and excluding separate attachments. No mailbox account was authorized or queried.
Chats can keep routine progress notes or receive a start acknowledgment followed by one final summary. The bridge suite covers both modes and their menu controls.
A saved setting now switches chronological order across Tasks, Activity, Inbox, Planned, and project feeds. Planned identifies the target date direction and keeps historic events folded. Existing settings default to newest first.
The note editor now lets users type part of a heading to find a related note across projects. Results identify the note's project and type, and selected links appear by heading with a remove control. Existing stable reference IDs and Markdown links are unchanged. Source and standalone syntax checks passed and the delivered script was read back and hash-verified; automated behavior tests and physical iPhone verification were not run.
A missing brace in the generated Activity feed script prevented Pocketlog’s interface from opening. Version 2.1.61 fixes the parser error without changing saved notes or the vault format. The embedded page and Activity feed passed a Chromium regression check; physical iPhone verification remains pending.
A project-page action now syncs already linked Reminder tasks whose fields changed since their last saved baseline. It copies one-sided changes in either direction and leaves conflicts, missing reminders, read-only lists and untracked items untouched. Bulk sync does not create or delete reminders. Source and standalone syntax checks passed and the delivered file was read back byte-for-byte; automated behavior tests and physical iPhone verification were not run.
Activity, Planned, and project entry feeds now insert a quiet line with the weekday and date when the displayed day changes. Planned uses target dates; Activity and project entries use the date already shown on each card. Existing filters, ordering, and paging remain in place. Source and standalone syntax/equality checks and the iCloud readback passed; no browser or iPhone check was run.
Pocketlog initially renders 250 Activity entries and adds a Show older activity entries control that reveals the next 250 while retaining active filtering and ordering. A Chromium regression with 260 items confirmed 250 initial rows and all 260 after expansion. The work completes the activity-list portion of Pocketlog v2.1.58 vault-growth improvements; physical iPhone testing remains pending.
Pocketlog v2.1.57 batches calendar-note writes and project-page rebuilds, hydrates live Markdown without recursively loading backup and attachment trees, loads photo previews near the viewport, reuses parsed notes only while source Markdown is unchanged, and adds load-more controls for long lists. Host and Chromium regressions passed for those behaviors; physical iPhone behavior has not been verified.
Pocketlog now lets a note reference related notes by stable ID. Linked notes open from the editor, and generated project journals include direct links to their Markdown records. Host and browser checks passed; physical iPhone verification is pending.

Each eligible task prompt reads only the generated project view and authoritative notes for that task’s exact project ID. It does not search other projects’ assignments and treats note text as untrusted data.
Empty Pocketlog scans skip model work, and failed scans keep their details in service logs without sending Telegram notices. Eligible tasks still receive their individual start notice.
A validated Pocketlog index flag now reconciles only explicitly tracked projects into linked Studio pages. False or missing flags privatize only previously mapped Pocketlog pages; notes and attachments are never imported.
The scheduler now supports elapsed intervals from 2 to 59 minutes and coalesces ticks while a run is queued or active. Displayed schedule times use America/New_York.
A deterministic scanner filters open AI-assigned task bullets before starting Codex. Malformed notes and cloud-read errors fail closed. The full bridge suite passed with 126 tests.
2026-10-25
Added a Telegram command menu with inline controls and a typed on/off shortcut. Off mode acknowledges task start, suppresses interim progress, and asks for one final executive summary; on mode keeps the existing updates. The full automated bridge suite passed 126 tests.
Added five-minute recurrence support to the existing scheduler so lightweight Pocketlog note checks can run frequently without building a backlog. Checks use the deterministic note scanner and serialized task worker, and do not launch Codex when no assigned work is found. All 121 automated tests passed.
Added a hollow-star important-task type, prioritized ahead of ordinary open tasks by project order, and foldable task and activity sections. Optional importance metadata preserves older notes; no migration or path change was made. A Google Calendar feasibility review deferred integration because safe event reconciliation and secret-URL handling need a separate design. Nightly syntax and byte-identity checks passed; no automated regression suite or physical iPhone/Scriptable test was run.
The shared bullet editor now shows Delete note before Save and Cancel for tasks, events, logs, and Stars. The existing native confirmation, snapshot validation, recovery copy, and rollback remain in use. Source and standalone syntax, byte identity, a focused rendered-modal check, and the uploaded-file readback passed; physical iPhone confirmation remains pending.
Added a native-confirmed delete handler for tasks, events, logs, and Stars. It checks stable IDs and the current generated-project snapshot and saves a recovery copy of the authoritative note before removal. Review found that v2.1.1 omitted the visible Delete note button, so the action was not available in the edit sheet; v2.1.2 adds that control.
Each project now has a generated Markdown view grouped by note type, while the per-bullet Markdown files remain authoritative. Before conversion, prior project files are copied and verified; stable project identity and generated-file fingerprints help preserve unexpected external edits. Host and embedded WebView syntax plus diff checks passed. Automated regression and iPhone/iCloud migration checks were not run.
Added a dedicated drag grip for project ordering, with keyboard arrow controls. Active and inactive groups can be reordered separately, and the saved order is reflected in Activity filters; existing settings without an order keep their prior behavior. Host and embedded WebView syntax checks passed; touch-drag and iPhone verification remain pending.
When one project is selected, its Star bullets now appear first; the All feed remains newest-first across every entry. This changes display sorting only and leaves saved records untouched. Host and embedded WebView syntax checks passed; automated regression and iPhone checks were not run.
Made Activity project filters stay visible while the feed scrolls, with the selected theme background and iPhone safe-area spacing. Project selection, chronology, and storage are unchanged. Host and embedded WebView syntax checks passed; scrolling and iPhone behavior remain unverified.
Added Star as a fourth project-linked bullet type, with capture and editing support. Project pages place Stars in their own newest-first section, while Activity keeps the shared chronological feed. The existing note format stores the type, so no vault migration was added. Host and embedded WebView syntax checks passed; automated regression and iPhone/Scriptable checks were not run.
Corrected due daily schedule processing so the dispatcher computes the next occurrence from its active store instance. Added a regression test that verifies the due run is queued and the schedule advances. The full automated bridge and publisher suite passes 107 tests; live scheduled Telegram delivery remains unverified.
Added per-chat ChatGPT-plan and OpenAI API modes, with isolated local profiles and mode-aware conversation resuming. A new search command retrieves redacted matching excerpts from both local conversation archives. The full automated bridge and publisher suite passes 107 tests. Live Telegram use remains to be confirmed, and API login is not configured by this change.
Tasks can be explicitly marked for assistant review, with the assignment shown in task and project views. Assistant-authored entries retain their ordinary bullet type and timeline position, with a clear visual label. Existing notes remain compatible.
After the same project journal collision recurred, version 2.0.9 stopped moving the temporary file into its final filename. It writes verified content directly after retaining rollback copies. Source and standalone syntax checks passed, and the uploaded standalone matches its local SHA-256. Physical iPhone confirmation remains pending.
Version 2.0.8 checks for a project file that reappears during staged replacement, retries only when its contents match the preserved original, and leaves different content intact. Source and standalone syntax checks passed, and the uploaded standalone matches its local SHA-256.
Scratch is now the first tab and opening view. Daily navigation is removed; Daily Notes remains a protected project that can be renamed but cannot be inactivated or deleted. Edit sheets place Cancel at the bottom, and Activity entries use compact cards with clear bullet and project cues. The existing iCloud storage and migration behavior is unchanged. Source and embedded interface syntax checks passed; iPhone verification remains pending.
Pocketlog's Markdown vault now uses the Scriptable folder in iCloud Drive so files are visible in Files and can sync when needed. First launch checks for conflicting local and iCloud files, verifies the copy, and keeps the original local folder as a pre-migration recovery copy. Host JavaScript syntax validation passed; automated checks and iPhone/Scriptable migration verification remain pending.

Scheduled task results and terminal errors use a lobster marker, while ordinary task replies keep the crab marker. The delivery code and regression tests cover both marker selection and duplicate suppression; all 100 automated tests passed. Live Telegram confirmation is pending.
Added explicit one-time, daily, and weekly schedules with timezone-aware timing, durable run records, and dispatch through the existing serialized worker. Automated coverage now includes recurrence, daylight-saving transitions, restart recovery, and missed-run handling. Live Telegram interaction has not yet been verified.
Added a separate default-model menu with Luna, Sol and Astra options. Changes preserve unrelated settings and create a private recovery backup before atomic replacement. Explicit conversation preferences still override the configured default, and active work is unaffected. All 89 automated tests passed. The current default was not changed by adding this option; live menu confirmation remains pending.
Added a persistent model menu with Default, Luna, Sol and Astra choices. Selection applies when the next task starts, preserving conversation history and leaving current work unchanged. All 86 automated tests passed, including authorization, persistence and new or resumed command construction. Model IDs were checked against the installed catalog; live generation for each model and real menu interaction remain pending.
Restored standalone periodic summaries so earlier task updates remain visible in the conversation. This supersedes the single editable progress message described in the introduction. Summaries stay brief and factual; attachments and delivery warnings precede the separate final reply ending with the crab completion marker. All 81 automated tests passed. Activation is queued after the current reply; live confirmation remains pending.
Task progress now updates one message in place, then marks it finished before the separate final answer. Quiet mode remains quiet, and failed edits never create replacement-message spam. All 84 automated tests passed. Activation follows the current reply; real chat confirmation remains pending.
Final task replies now end with a crab emoji. File attachments and delivery warnings precede the final text, keeping the completion marker last. All 81 automated tests passed; activation is queued after the current reply.
Established a private source repository for the assistant bridge and integrated publishing tools, preserving existing development history. Added project guidance and status notes, excluded private runtime data, and verified all 79 automated tests. This creates a maintained source checkpoint rather than a backup of personal conversations or uploaded files.
Replaced technical progress digests with brief plain-language summaries of completed work and next steps. Repeated notes are suppressed and final answers remain separate. All 79 automated tests passed. Activation is queued after the current reply; confirmation in the messaging app remains pending.
Added incoming file and photo handling with optional task captions, plus document delivery for requested artifacts. Transfer limits, private staging, checksums and no automatic retry after uncertain uploads are covered by automated checks. All 76 tests passed. Activation follows the current reply; real chat upload and download confirmation remains pending.
Prepared native message formatting for headings, emphasis, code and links, with Unicode-safe splitting for longer replies. All 65 automated checks passed. Activation is queued after the current reply; confirmation in the messaging app is still pending.
Project standing notes and their history control now appear before Open tasks, and Delete project is a smaller, muted inline action with its existing native confirmation and recovery flow unchanged. Activity can optionally include inactive-project task creation/completion events; inactive logs remain excluded. This was source-reviewed only: automated/browser checks and iPhone verification were not performed.
Added a small Past versions control beside the global and project standing-note editors. It opens dated, read-only snapshots, including notes for inactive projects. Existing Markdown files and archive formats remain unchanged. The update is documented; automated checks and iPhone verification have not yet been performed.
A reported Task/Log capture failure was reproduced in the embedded interface and traced to an undeclared strict-mode WebView variable; the task write could succeed before the UI acknowledgement failed. A broader audit also corrected note/date races, interrupted metadata recovery, draft loss, failed-toggle feedback, and other storage/UI edge cases. Native mocks and Chromium UI regressions pass. iPhone verification remains pending.
A blind code-only review informed optional controls for visual detail, task timestamps, completed items, and text size, plus clearer navigation labels, calendar markers, autosave guidance, and a revisitable orientation guide. Existing storage and defaults remain unchanged. Host syntax and local mocks pass; the new UI still needs iPhone verification, and no autistic-user study is claimed.
Task cards now label creation and completion times explicitly. Tasks can be assigned an optional planned day during capture, then rescheduled or cleared from the task editor. Existing project Markdown files remain unchanged. Host syntax and local FileManager mock checks pass; iPhone verification of the new controls remains pending.
Pocketlog now separates active and inactive projects, keeping inactive records out of normal task, activity, and capture views while allowing reactivation. Tasks, log entries, and projects can be deleted after a native confirmation; local recovery copies protect project records. Existing Markdown project files remain unchanged. Host syntax and local FileManager mock checks pass; the new controls still need iPhone verification.
Defined both date helpers used by the Daily calendar inside its embedded WebView. A regression check now runs the calendar renderer without injected helper stubs and checks its date output and 42 cells. The prior project-note autosave correction remains included; actual iPhone confirmation is still pending.
Added the calendar date-padding helper inside Pocketlog's embedded WebView, where the Daily calendar runs. The project standing-note save correction is retained. A host-side regression check now renders the calendar and verifies its 42 cells and date keys; iPhone confirmation is still pending.
Aligned project-note conflict checks with the existing Markdown whitespace normalization, preventing a trailing-newline autosave from causing a false conflict while preserving rejection of substantive stale edits. Made Daily calendar labels independent of locale-formatting APIs and expanded WebView error diagnostics. Host syntax checks and a strict native-mock regression passed. The Daily-tab fix still needs owner iPhone retesting.

Connected the existing hull, navigation, propulsion and power ledgers to staged room art and repair-linked shelter protection. Added temporary hull sealing, weather-gated leak effects and schema-6 save migration that preserves v3.3 trips and progress. Syntax, browser fixtures, native mocks and 600 paired low-supply scenarios passed; actual iPhone migration, visuals and balance remain pending.
Forage, alloy salvage and contracts now offer Cautious, Standard and Exposed routes with matching previews and saved departure weather. Return reports describe actual outcomes, while new state-driven movement and reduced-motion poses add personality without affecting gameplay. Simulated campaigns, browser checks and native storage mocks passed; real iPhone verification of v3.3 remains pending.
Requested design: while the alien is away, place a large pixel-style chronometer in its usual cabin spot, with a clear remaining-time readout. Use the existing saved expedition deadline, preserve the persistent trip status and warnings, and return to the pet scene when the trip ends. This is a design request only: no release is assigned and nothing has been implemented.
Updated the shared editorial workflow so each owner-authorized coding task receives a concise, factual Small Tasks record. Significant milestones on designated public projects also get illustrated journal stories. Daily Devotions is now a separate public Studio project; Tiny Critter remains the featured main project. The overnight upkeep checklist now watches both projects’ release notes and public journal pages. Sensitive details and unsupported verification claims remain excluded.
Removed chant-pointing marks from the psalm lines and added the optional Creed in Morning Prayer’s prescribed position. Replaced the Lord’s Prayer throughout with ESV Matthew 6:9–13. Existing appearance and text-size preferences remain compatible. The standalone script was built and delivered; automated tests were not run and iPhone verification is pending.
The v3.4 design links staged hull and component artwork to lower leak, wildlife and exposure risk, using existing repair progress. Planning is complete; implementation and safety balancing are future work.
Responsive project spotlight added. Private or unlisted projects cannot appear in the feature.
v3.1 simulation fix; existing mess retained and rewards remain exactly once.
v3.1 wording fix; balances and original journal entries retained.
v3.1 interface polish; browser checks passed and the owner reported successful device playtesting.
The renderer rejects a release containing broken internal page links; routine work stays in this daily ledger.
